Apple Cider Vinegar Beef Jerky Marinade (Clean + Flavorful)

Apple Cider Vinegar Beef Jerky Marinade (AIP Compliant)

For 3 lbs of meat | Dehydrator-friendly | Sweet, tangy, and AIP-approved

🥄 Ingredients:

  • ½ cup apple cider vinegar
  • ½ cup coconut aminos (use instead of tamari for AIP)
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup or honey
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp black pepper (omit for strict AIP or sub with ground ginger)
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika (omit for strict AIP or use ½ tsp turmeric for earthy flavor)
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (omit for AIP)

🥩 Instructions:

  1. Slice beef into ¼-inch strips (freeze 30 minutes first to make slicing easier).
  2. Mix all marinade ingredients in a large bowl or ziplock bag.
  3. Add meat, toss to coat, and marinate 12–24 hours in the fridge.
  4. Lay strips in a single layer in your dehydrator.
  5. Dehydrate at 160°F for 4–6 hours. Start checking at 4 hours—the jerky should bend but not break.

💡 Flavor Boosts:

  • Add ½ tsp liquid smoke for a bolder smoky taste (check ingredients for AIP compliance).
  • Mix in ½ tsp ground mustard or ginger for tang and spice (ginger = AIP win).

AIP Tip: Always double-check spice labels for fillers, and skip black pepper, paprika, and chili flakes during strict phases.
